Glam Nation weekend 1

Adam Lambert's Glam Nation Tour 7/2/2010 in Charlotte- This has to be explained as a weekend cause it was so much more than the day of the show.
The day before the show we had a friend come stay with us to go to the concert and spend the weekend. We met Anais on Twitter and met her for the first time when she knocked on the door and stayed for the next 4 days. Yes, a little bit of a crazy thing to do, but a story that got the attention of other fans at the concert, Allison Iraheta and her bass player Liz Anne Hill. "Ya'll are crazy" Allison told us in joking. No one could believe it and probably because Anais, me and my sister Debbie not only acted like we've known each other for years, but seemed to everyone around us like 3 sisters. We had a lot of great things happen to us this weekend- on the top of the list for me was watching Anais sing for Allison and promising we would never let her quit til she reaches her dream. We're sisters now.... I'm never gonna let her down!
So, the concert. Allison Iraheta opened up first. High energy, so connected with the crowd, sounded and looked beautiful! She was great! When she stared singing "Scars" (which was the song Anais sang to her earlier in the day) I pulled Anais in front of me so she could get a better view. I legit cried when she was singing that song! Then, Orianthi came out. She was amazing and damn that girl could rock a guitar. But, I'm gonna be honest.... I couldn't wait for her to get off the stage to see Adam. She became the Danny Gokey of the Glam Nation tour!
ADAM: How can I describe this? He looked larger than life to me. I had seen so many Youtube videos of this concert before I went that it didn't seem real to me that I was finally seeing him live. Then, he got to my corner of the stage and it felt like he was just in arms reach. That's was I actually saw him close- his face and eyes. That's when I almost fell out, but kept it cool! Haha, I'm starting to sound like a cray! Obviously the rest of the show was amazing. His voice, his energy, the band and dancers all perfect! The pace of the show kept us wanting more and not able to blink! But before I knew it, we were all jumping up and down to "If I had You", which is the last song of the night. It was a general admission show, so it felt like we were all just clubbing and dancing with Adam- or like extras in his video. It was incredible!
To wrap up this blog, I also met some great people at the concert that I now call friends. The rest of the weekend was so much fun having a third sister in the house. I got my cartilage pierced, we met up with 2 more friends of Anais' on the 4th of July, and we went to a "Chocolate Factory". Haha! I'm gonna post 2 links with pictures from our weekend. We're going back to a second Glam Nation show in Raleigh at the end of August. Can't wait for a another crazy Glam experience!

Blah Blah Blah

Yay! Blogging! Ok, I will do my best to keep up with this blog given I had a Livejournal account and forgot my login/password. I think I posted some poetry on it. I also think I was going through some very specific stuff at the time which became the main focus of that blog. I have 2 twitter accounts that help me vent, so I'm going to try to stay away from that kind of stuff on this page. There are a lot of new, fun and wonderful experiences going on in my life this summer so I think I'll focus on that! Concert reviews, weekend experiences, restaurant reviews, recipes, good stories and jokes. I hope to keep it light and happy.
Already have been to 2 concerts this summer, so I have some catching up to do.....
